Last night (as you might have noticed) we didn’t have any internet, which was quite funy… because we could both send text messages through whatsapp but we couldn’t send or receive any pictures or go to any website. Which was very inconvenient since we hadn’t booked a hotel for the next night nor could we find out when the boats would leave. We thought we could sleep in but… my remote hands boyfriend checked online and eventually it meant we did have to get up early.

I woke up in the middle of the night thinking I forgot to ask my passport when we turned in the motorbike… this would of course not be a problem since the lady would be u in the morning but… you can imagine that the adrenaline was  rushing through my veins so… no more sleep for me, which meant I had a great headache to start the day.

So we got up early… packed our stuff, and got into a car (from the guesthouse, a lot cheaper then the taxi).  At the ticket booth for the boat we decided to go with the non airconditioning and it was a lot cheaper then it said online, so we were happy.

We boarded our seavessel (really, they treat the boat like a plain including check in, security checks and boarding) and said goodbye to Bohol. The wind was rushing through our hair and we realy enjoyed the 2 hour sail back to Cebu. Their we jumped into a taxi (metered, nice to pay a fair price once again) and over to the airport. Finally there was some wifi so we could book a hotel. After we checked in and dropped off our luggage there was some food and some good good coffee for Genevieve.

The flight was only and hour and 15 minutes, we were happy to find our luggage when we arrived and walked out in to sunny Puerto Princesa (capital of Palawan island). The energy is so much different here. It’s not a big city with high rise, there were no metered taxi’s, only  tricycles and after 15 minutes we arrived in our ‘ pensionne’. For merely 15 euro’s a night we have a lovely room, not like the apartment we had but really nothing to complain and we went to the tourshop (in our hotel) to arrange some tours for the next days.

I have to say, before yesterday we didn’t even have the slightest clue what we wanted to do… but the man on the tricycle tried to help us by giving us some prices and we used these to haggle a cheaper price for the tours. Unfortunately the room we now have is booked for the next two nights so we’re going to stay in  single room, which means single (140 cm) bed… We’ll see how that turns out.

After that we walked around, got some drinks and had some great tuna at the boulevard. First time that I didn´t have chicken since I arrived. The boulevard is really cute and feels like a nice place to stay. there´s a really cool breeze too, making it all feel a little less damp and humid.

There’s going to be dragonboat racing the next couple of days and therefore everything is a little more busy then usual.  Tomorrow our van picks us up at 6.45 so again an early morning. Today we left our room on Panglao at 8 and arrived her ast 4 pm… altogether it was a long day of transit with a lot of airconditioning… I hope I sleep well tonight since we started our anti malaria pills, which usually make me dream like crazy.

The internet in the hotel is not really the best thing on earth, still preventing me from uploading pictures on the website. Tomorrow I’ll see if I have a little more time since I still have some awesome turtle video’s to share… but please bear with me, I’m trying!
