Both of us woke up early and we felt so much better then yesterday so we’re excited! A tricycle pciks us up and takes us to the harbor. It stops at the diveshop from yesterday and the arrogant French boy and his girlfriend get in. Of course we are nice but I’m happy to see that they get ushered towards a different boat.

We look for the best place on the boat and sit down, slowly the boat fills up with a French couple, 2 dutch girls and a lot of filipino’s and a Chinese couple. In the end tone of the guides/ boatboys comes aboard bringing his dog… It was so cute to see and we had something to cuddle. We set for the first beach which also has a great snorkel area called ‘ Coral garden’.As we arrive we’re the only boat there… it’s a lot different from the El nido tours where we always hoped to be the only but usually we were the last and had to wait for a beach to empty.

We visited so many beautifull places, experienced a thermocline, saw wild monkeys that don’t go begging for food, talked with the really nice French couple and had fun with the boat guy. The lunch was not served on a boat but on a deserted beach with little cottages… and everywhere we were the first to come and had the beach to ourself. Since there were only 4 stops in this tour it felt a lot more relaxed and we really got to enjoy the time.

The last stop was Kayangan lake, a sweet water lake where the indigenous people got their fresh water from. It was a steep climb and decent from the beach, but the water was gorgeous and the lake immense. The view was amazing and we sang with our little boat boy…we had a blast and were so sad to leave…. Back on the boat the tourguide asked if we wanted to go home… the whole boat cheered ‘no’   so we went to another place where we could see beautiful corals.

While we were swimming around the 2 islands I saw what I presumed were jellyfish…. And since my Bali adventure I’m kinda paranoid about jellyfish so I turned around and swam back as fast as I could.. Gen right beside me even though she had no clue why. The boatboy laughed and said it was plankton… fine by me but I’m not going near it. I snorelen towards the other side of the Island. Gen went back to the boat… and at some point I saw the boat leave. There was another small boat closebye and  he asked me if I needed a lift. My boat sailed around the islands and came back in view within 5 minutes but it’s nice to know that people are so friendly!

Now we did finally sail back, said our goodbyes, got a tricycle back to the hotel and started our final pack. We we’re not looking forward to this part so while packing decided to get some food first. We  had seen a beautifull restaurant on the water and since we both had some cash left we decided to eat there. There was a pool table with 2 guys playing, nice music and good drinks. My first pineapple daiquiri and of course Gin Tonic for Gen.

The food was macnificent and I challenged one of the Italian guys for a game of pool… of course I lost so I had to buy him a drink. We had so much fun teasing them, they totally live the stereotype, midtwenties, living with their mother and not knowing how to do their own laundry. They ware fun to hang out with and a good way to spent our last night.

Just now we walked back to our hotel and I’m now staring at 2 fully packed backpacks… which makes me kind of sad. Tomorrowmorning our journey home begins… and it’s going to be a long trip , for me 32 hours altogether because the plain from Coron to Manilla leaves early. Time for a last cold drink in the hot air outside!
